Hanson-Meekins Animal Hospital

Hanson-Meekins Animal Hospital has been serving the Bay Area since 1976.

Dr. Hanson came to Coos Bay in 1975 and bought a (lovely) building that was "zoned just right". This shack became the first Hanson Animal Hospital. After a nice red paint job, Dr. Hanson practiced for 20 years in that building as the sole practioneer. She called it "the little red building with a warm heart" and was always voted "the most popular vet in town".

With a lot of hard work and devotion, the clinic has grown over the years. In 1994 Dr. Meekins joined Dr. Hanson and in 2000 they became partners. In 2004 another red building was erected and formed what is now Hanson-Meekins Animal Hospital. These days --Dr. Hanson calls it "the big red building with a warm heart".
